Cheryl’s art focuses on colour and texture both subtle and bold, warm and cold. Throughout her career in education, Cheryl experimented with different crafts. She was always impressed and interested in the art produced by students and staff. Cheryl comes from a creative family who work with a variety of media.
After retiring, Cheryl began formal art lessons and for several years created art with glass including leaded glass and fused panels, dishes, jewellery, lamps and nightlights.
More recently, Cheryl has incorporated acrylic and mixed media painting as an additional focus for her creative nature. She continues to explore various methods and styles as she evolves, creating an eclectic rather than thematic repertoire of work. She enjoys painting abstracts, fanciful flowers and cheerful paintings for kids of all ages.
