Kate Taylor is an abstract artist born in England, working out of her studio in Toronto, Ontario. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Western University where she was taught painting by internationally-renowned artist, Paterson Ewen.
Kate is committed to capturing colour and energy in her mixed media paintings; exploring the unique forms and colours of nature. Kate works on birch panel, staining the background to reveal the woodgrain. Working solely with a palette knife, she works in acrylics capturing the energy and motion of the world around us.
Kate’s work is in collections around the world. She is a member of the SolidColour and ColourShift Abstract Art Collectives and is represented by galleries in Toronto, Montreal and Boston.
