Steph is an emerging Toronto photographer. She launched her Fine Art Photography business in 2016. For Steph, photography is a form of meditation. Focusing on the present moment, she finds subjects that command her attention and instill a sense of calm or contemplation. She primarily shoots rural and urban landscapes and is drawn to the hidden beauty in natural elements like water, ice, forest and sky. In urban spaces she seeks the calm amidst the chaos, and the character exuded in structures, artifacts, and common spaces. Her work is abstract – you may not recognize what you are seeing immediately, but the sense of freedom, escape, or power will resonate.
Steph holds a certificate in Photography from the OCAD School of Continuing Studies and a Commerce degree from Queen’s University. She has exhibited at The Artist Project, Contact Photography Festival, Rosedale Art Fair, and NTGA Spring and Fall Shows. Her work has twice been selected in the Latcham Gallery Juried Exhibition.
